NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide)

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in all living cells. It participates in over 500 enzymatic reactions, primarily as an electron carrier in the mitochondrial electron transport chain (ETC) and as an essential cofactor for three enzyme families: sirtuins (SIRT1-7), PARPs, and CD38.

NAD+ exists in oxidized (NAD+) and reduced (NADH) forms. The NAD+/NADH ratio is a critical indicator of cellular metabolic state. Published research has documented age-related decline in NAD+ levels across multiple tissues.

NAD+ has a molecular weight of 663.43 Da and the formula C21H27N7O14P2 (CAS: 53-84-9). It is supplied as a lyophilized powder.
