In Vivo

"In vivo" (Latin: "in the living") refers to experiments performed within living organisms — typically animal models such as rats, mice, or rabbits. In vivo studies examine how compounds behave in the complexity of whole-organism biology, including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion.

In vivo research follows in vitro studies in the preclinical pipeline. BPC-157 has been studied extensively in rat models, while TB-500 (Thymosin Beta-4) has in vivo data across cardiac, dermal, and neurological models in multiple species. GLP-1 agonists have progressed through animal models to large-scale human clinical trials.
